VOXENGO DECONVOLVER FREE
Voxengo DeConvolver - This program is free to try and awesome. It can generate your sine sweep impulses and DeConvolve sampled spaces so you can put the IRs into your Convolution Reverb Unit.DeConvolver to decode the recorded signal.I”ll be using REVerence which comes free with Cubase 5.DAW and Convolution Reverb unit (Obviously).List of gear you need to sample a Reverb unit.  To do this you only need a few things. Really, it is a pretty simple thing to do. Let’s get down to business!  By doing this you can demystify convolution reverb sampling and have a better understanding of how it all works before wasting a lot of time sampling real spaces.  I’m aware that convolution reverbs take WAY more CPU than your average reverb unit, but I do think it’s important to follow this guide to really get the process down.

Then I can compare and see which yields the better results.Tutorial: How to sample your Reverb Units to use them in Convolution Reverbs.īefore you haul all of your gear out into the world and attempt to sample real spaces, it is worthwhile to make a few Impulses of reverbs you have in your studio. I suppose once in set up to record I may as well mute the strings, tap on the bridge, and do some real IR captures anyway, as it won't take much more time. Since I don't have logic any longer, I'll have to check out voxengo as you mentioned or some other deconvolver. Simple enough I guess! I think logics IR utility had a deconvolver which I used last time. an eq match, and then sweep a sine through the matched eq and deconvolve that into an impulse response. So basically, there's two methods sounds like, one more used in practicality: you record the DI and mic'd signal, do. But now that I've kind of settled into my "keeper" acoustic instruments, i think I'd like to capture some IRs of all of them, as I usually run them as "specialty" instruments alongside my electric guitar through the ax8. I did use some deconvolution in the past when I took those mama bear IRs a long time ago.
